Lesson 4
Sin
1. Man was created innocent and sinless in the beginning, for
he was created in the image of ______ (Gen.1:27; Eph.4:24).
2. It was Satan, the _________, who sinned from the beginning
(1 John 3:8) and introduced sin into the world (John 8:44; Gen.
3:1-6).
3. "For all have ________, and come short of the glory of
God" (Rom .3:23). Therefore, all men have violated God's
law.
4. Jesus says, "And ye will not come to me, that ye might
have _________" (John 5:40). Since man can refuse to come
to Jesus for life, every man, therefore, is created a free moral
agent. So, man by his freedom of choice had sinned against God
(Gen.2:16-17; 3:1-6).
5. "...Sin is the transgression of the ______" (1 John
3:4).
6. "... to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not,
to him it is _________" (James 4:17).
7. "...the wages of sin is _________..." (Rom. 6:23).
8. "But your _____________ have separated between you and
your God, and your __________ have hid his face from you..."
(Isa. 59:2).
9. "...and so __________ passed upon all men, for that all
have sinned" (Rom.5:12).
10. However, a baby does not inherit sin (Ezekiel 18:20), but
is born innocent (Eccl. 7:29; Luke 18:16), and made in the image
of _________ (Gen. 1:27; Eph. 4:24).
Conclusion: Since all men by their free-will have sinned and are
subject to eternal death (Rom.3:23; 6:23); let us therefore hear
and obey the Gospel! The Gospel of Christ is "the power of
God unto salvation to everyone believeth" (Rom.1:16).
